The owner was looking for a major remodel with two story addition to rear of home
with a master
bedroom/bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms and one bathroom on the
second floor. The house needed to be jacked up and leveled, with flitch
plates installed on the existing wood beam. Microlam beams were also installed
under main load-bearing wall. All new ducts and furnace, new copper plumbing
and PVC waste lines were installed. The house was completely rewired and brought up to code.
All new Marvin Integrity windows, Thermatru doors, Certainteed siding, and
Elk dimensional shingles were installed. The front block porch was replaced with new cement
footings and a wrought iron railing. The bathroom received an acrylic block window,
one-piece shower with canopy, Toto comfort height toilet, Merillat vanity with
laminate top, china sink, and Delta faucets. Also new were the hardwood floor in the living
room, vinyl flooring in bathrooms and kitchen, and wall-to-wall carpet in remainder
of house.
